It is not our differences that divide us. It is our inability to recognize, accept, and celebrate those differences.
– Audre Lorde
In my work with couples I strive to make space for both partners to feel seen, understood and supported. Using a direct but compassionate approach, I help couples learn to better locate and articulate their own feelings so that they can be better understood by each other. I also encourage taking ownership of one’s needs and feelings, helping clients to become less bashful about desires and requests. I particularly enjoy working with folks who want help with issues around sex and intimacy and couples who identify as sexual outsiders. I have a high comfort level in talking about sex and believe that by creating a place to safely explore boundaries and desires we are better able to have healthy, safe connections with others.
